Last term with Manchester City, he missed about a month with a calf injury and then he returned for just a couple of matches before suffering another calf issue that led to another absence.What makes the situation even more worrisome for Roma is the fact the Bosnia-Herzegovina international has done well to fight off health woes in the past. He appeared in at least 40 matches across all competitions in six straight seasons, dating back to his Wolfsburg days, before the last two seasons.The club has to hope the uptick is just a flukenot a sign his 29-year-old body is starting to fight back after all of the mileage he's racked up at both the international and the club levels.Dzeko has only scored once in his seven appearances for the Giallorossi, but with the same report confirming Totti is due to be sidelined for the same length of time, Roma are without a recognised centre-forward option.The likes of Mohamed Salah, Juan Iturbe and Gervinho will need to assume goalscoring responsibilities, and the injuries to the two key front men have the potential to seriously derail Roma's title challenge if they can't.
