BKG Exhibitions partners media over Lagos motor fair

TO ensure adequate coverage of the 7th Lagos motor show scheduled to hold between April 18 and 24, 2012, BKG Exhibitions Limited,organiser's of the annual event has entered into partnership with Steam Broadcasting & Communication Limited owners of Cool 96.9FM, Wazobia 95.1FM and Nigeria Info 99.3 FM.Managing Director, BKG Exhibitions Limited, Mr. Ifeanyichukwu Agwu, explained that the initiative forms part of the organisers resolve to boost attendance.Agwu said 'The choice of these stations stem from their wide reach, acceptance and professionalism. They have mass appeal and are highly listened to in Lagos and environs'.He added 'Cool FM is the toast of the upper, educated and urbane; Wazobia is the choice of the masses and Nigeria Info is a bridge and also has the large population of sports lovers and lovers of talk shows as its patrons; so with them the airwaves will be highly saturated with the activities of the event and its messages will reach the nooks and crannies thereby giving high mileages to both the participants and other stakeholders in the event.'As a world class broadcasting organisation that place high premium in creating value for their patrons, these stations have all along been identifying with all the good efforts aimed at developing the automotive and road transport business in Nigeria, hence the resolve to increase their supports to the sector by raising the stake in this year's event.'The automobile industry is an important sector in any economy which impacts greatly on other sectors of the economy as such in an economy like ours, it needs all the support and encouragement it can get from the public and private sectors in other to sustain the gains already recorded'.Meanwhile, National Trucks Manufacturers Limited [NTM] has concluded plans to participate in the annual event scheduled to hold at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos.The company is expected to showcaselight trucks, tractors, pick-ups, Tippers, Trailer Heads, tankers, Cargo Trucks, Garbage Trucks as well as passenger vehicles coupled withHoversamong others.Also expected, according to the organisers are Weststars Associates and CFAO Automotive Group.CFAO is expected to display Aveo, Optra and Epica from the family of Chevrolet; Patrol, Pathfinder, Murano, Urvan, Civillian, Sunny, Tiida, Teana, X-Trail, Qashqai-all Nissan products and Duster from Renault.Others are ASX, Pajero, Lancer, Outlander, Canter, Rosa, L200, L300; from Mitsubishi as well as variant of brands from Great Wall.Already, PAN Nigeria Limited, Leventis Motors, Toyota Nigeria Limited, distributors of Toyota range of cars, buses, light trucks and spare parts in Nigeria have indicated interest to be part of the event.Others are: Boulous Enterprises Limited, dealers and distributors of Haojue Elegant Motorcycles and Piaggio Tricycles, Falken Tyres, Primewell Tyres and Comar Tyres, he added will be on display at the stands of Boulous and Comar Tyre & Rubber Industrial Company Limited of China, respectively.According to Agwu, Comar is expected to display other rubber and synthetic automobile accessories while Mobil Oil Nigeria will be showcasing their flagship Mobil 1, lubricant, Oando Plc will be at the fair arena with the range of Oleum lubricants. Also expected are, GT Assur [Guaranty Trust Assurance Plc] with their range of products such as: Assur Moto Plus, Assur Moto Vintageamong others.
