Skullcandy GrindSkullcandy isnt exactly known for top-tier sound quality, but it hit a surprise home run with the Grind. As we noted in our on-ear headphone buying guide, these things have a fun, full sound thats heavy on the bass, but not so much that the rest of the mix feels unbalanced. Theyre also supremely comfortable. Their youthful design wont be for everyone, but this deal only applies to the relatively subdued white and royal blue models. The whole line normally retails for $60, but a couple weeks back these two were cut down to $48. Thats a great price for a pair that was already outperforming its cost.Skullcandy Grind Headphone with Mic (White, Black and Red), $47.99 (normally $59.99), available at Amazon. [20% off]Skullcandy Grind Headphone with Mic (Royal Blue), $47.99 (normally $59.99), available at Amazon. [20% off]2. AKG Y50Another pair from on on-ear guide, think of the AKG Y50 like a step-up from the Grind above. Theyre another bass-forward set, but the lows hear can reach truly monstrous levels, scraping all the way to the bottom of the barrel. Still, they never distort or totally overwhelm the highs and mids along the way. The big AKG logo on their earcups will bea bit much for some, but if you love EDM or hip-hop, the Y50s are a real treat. Weve seen them down this low before, but $80 is still better than their usual $100 street price.AKG Y50 On-Ear Headphone (Black), $79.95 (normally $100), available at Amazon. [20% off]3. Fluance Fi30If youre looking for a quality home Bluetooth speaker thats the price of a portable one, you could do much worse than the Fluance Fi30. We likeits simple, retro-themed style, and while it isnt notably loud or full of bass, it has a clear, detailed profile that plays smooth. It can charge your smartphone or tablet through its built-in USB port, too. The speaker normally retails for $150, but this deal brings that down by a third. It only applies to the white model, but it matches the Fi30s lowest known price to date. Fluance Fi30 Wireless Bluetooth Wood Speaker (Glacier White), $99.97 (normally $150), available at Amazon. [33% off]4. QCY Qy8This isnt a massive deal, but the Qy8 is a wonderful pair of Bluetooth in-ear headphones for the money. They pair easily, fit comfortably, and deliver a rich and clear sound that really has no business being on a $25 set of wireless in-ears. The only notable downside here is battery lifethey normally last around five hours on a charge. Well have more on them in a future post. Youll notice a half dozen merchants selling these on Amazon, so they may seem sketchy, but after testing them ourselves we can affirm their quality. The one below has the Qy8 down to $20. If you need an affordable pair of buds for working out, theyre difficultto top. QCY Qy8 Bluetooth Headphones (Black), $19.99 (originally $29.99), available at Amazon. [33% off]5.
