Nestle launches Maggi Fast Food group in Ibadan

In a bid to increase awareness and stimulate growth of Maggi in the Nigerian markets, Nestle Professional has launched a new customer forum tagged 'Maggi Fast Food Association of Nigeria, in Ibadan, Oyo State.The association, which comprises food operators that favour the use of Maggi in cooking, which include over 110 women and men and owners of the 'Bukas' (local restaurant and careting outfits in Ibadan and its environs).Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Nestle Nigeria, Mr Martin Woolnough, assured the association of the company's support and urged its members to continue to promote the use of Maggi products in their cookings, especially among new entrants in the cuisine industry.He encouraged them to give constructive feedback on the usage of Maggi, while creating passion for its utilisation among their members.He also spoke about Nestle's commitment to promoting nutrition, health and wellness among customers.Also speaking, the Category Business Manager, Maggi, Mr Guy Kellawa, supported the Nastle Professional team.The Nestle Professional Manager, Lola Ekwere, was hopeful that the association would serve as a platform for fast food operators to interract with the Maggi brand and also afford them the opportunity to learn more about the Out-of-Home expertise provided by the company.She said that it would serve as a meeting point for Out-of-Home Food operators to share their esperiences and also help the brand respond more effectively to their needs.A number of women who spoke at the event, commended Nestle for the initiative and praised the quality of its products, a feat they said had made the Nestle brand a household name in the West African country.Mrs Iyabo Lawani, a popular television presenter, hosted the 'food demo and tips on customer service.'Highlight of the occasion was the lucky dips w and rafle draws with the participatants winning lots of prices.Also, a medical team was on hand to check the blood pressure of those in attendance.
