The Netherlands kept their hopes of qualifying for UEFA Euro 2016 alive with a 2-1 win over Kazakhstan on Saturday, only their fourth of the qualification campaign.Georginio Wijnaldum gave the visitors a one-goal lead late in the first half and Wesley Sneijder doubled the advantage early in the second half. Islambek Kuat's goal came too late, temporarily moving theOranje into third place in Group A.Turkey and the Czech Republic will play later on Saturday, with the former the Dutch's only threat to a spot in the play-offs and the latter already assured a spot at the tournament. As shared by Squawka, Dutch manager Danny Blind decided to give a host of youngsters their debut on Saturday:Unfortunately for the visitors, star goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen suffered an injury during warm-ups, and he was replaced by Tim Krul to start the match.Debutant Anwar El Ghazi was clearly eager to impress, immediately putting pressure on the hosts' defence from the opening whistle, and within seconds, Kazakhstan ran into their first booking as a result.Daley Blind soon returned the favour with a rash tackle on Bauyrzhan Islamkhan, who left the pitch soon after with an injury.El Ghazi continued to impress with his movement in space and constant threat, drawing the first save from Stas Pokatilov.Football Oranje liked what it saw:Memphis Depay also showed his impressive skillsearly with a beautiful cross into the patch of El Ghazi, but the Ajax man failed to guide his header on target. The Dutch dominated possession and showed flashes of their potential, but the final pass was sloppy, and the young debutants seemed to struggle with their nerves in the attacking third.Chances were few, with the hosts happy to sit deep and seemingly playing for a draw.Memphis should have given the Dutch the lead after a truly phenomenal pass from Blind, but the Manchester United forward's form hasn't been the greatest of late, and he somehow managed to miss alone in front of stopper Pokatilov.ESPN's Janusz Michallik put it this way:Wijnaldum soon broke the deadlock, however. El Ghazi did well to occupy two defenders, drawing attention away from the Newcastle United man who took his chance from outside the box and slotted the ball past Pokatilov. As shared by Sky Sports Statto, scoring has been an issue for theOranje during qualification:The Dutch tried to press for a second goal for a couple of minutes but couldn't immediately find a way past the Kazakhstan defence, and rather than risk conceding just before half-time, they decided to drop the pace of the match and defend the lead.Kazakhstan started the second half with more attacking intentions at the cost of solid defending, and Sneijder made the hosts pay almost immediately.Klaas-Jan Huntelaar teed the veteranup perfectly, and the Galatasaray man unleashed a thunderous shot that found the top corner.Football Oranje's Michael Bell wondered where that Dutch side has been throughout the qualification process:The second goal seemed to liberate the Netherlands, who started playing the kind of free-flowing attacking football they're famous for.Pokatilov had to intervene to stop Huntelaar from making it 3-0 after a clever run from Memphis, who started to find his groove with the hosts forced to push further up the pitch.Out of nowhere, the hosts nearly equalised, with Yuri Logvinenko missing the goal by inches with a strong header. There were more goalkeeper worries for the Dutch, who lost Krul to a knee injury in the final minutes, meaning PSV's Jeroen Zoet was handed his full debut as well. Kuat found a late consolation goal for the hosts, but it was too little, too late. The Dutch will now have to wait for the result of the match between Turkey and the Czech Republic. The Turks still have to play the top two teams in Group A, but both Iceland and the Czechs have already qualified. The Netherlands' final match will be against the Czech Republic. As things stand, the Dutch have a one-point advantage over Turkey, but the Turks still have a match in handto be played later on Saturday. If the two finish on equal points, Turkey will qualify, having beaten the Dutch in their last meeting and drawn the other match.Post-Match ReactionTo follow.Follow @ReverschPass
