Jabari Parker Injury: Updates on Bucks Star's Recovery from Knee Surgery

Published by Bleacher Report on Fri, 30 Oct 2015

Milwaukee Bucks second-year star Jabari Parker will reportedly seek medical clearance in the near future as he progresses toward a return following knee surgery.Continue for updates.Bucks Hopeful for Early-November ReturnFriday, Oct. 30Gery Woelfel of theRacine Journal Times reported Parker is set to meet withDr. David Altchek in New York in the near future to see if he's clear to play.On Tuesday,Rich Rovito of the Associated Press passed along comments from Milwaukee head coach Jason Kidd, who expressed confidence that the rising star's return is on the horizon, though he'd be limited at the outset."He looks great. He's done everything," Kidd said. "Hopefully, in that first couple of weeks of November, he can come back and start his process, his journey, of playing 10 to 15 minutes a night and hopefully getting his load bigger as the season goes on."Parker missed 57 games last season aftersuffering a torn ACL. The No. 2 pick in last year's draft was having a solid rookie campaign before going down, shooting 49 percent from the floor while averaging 12.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.Understandably, the Bucks took Parker's return slow by keeping him off their summer-league roster.Despite not having Parker for most of last season, the Bucks were a surprise playoff team at 41-41 and took Chicago to six games in the first round. They lacked an offensive punch, ranking 22ndin the league with 97.8 points per game, but were strong on the defensive end to make things work well enough. If Parker is able to develop the offensive game that made him the second overall pick, the Bucks can take off in an Eastern Conference that has questions behind Cleveland. He has to stay healthy once he returns to game action for that to happen, though.
