England Need 238 More To Beat Pakistan

England suffered a double setback in their bid to make history by chasing down a target of 284 that would earn them a series-levelling win in the third Test against Pakistan, in Sharjah. Shoaib Malik, one day after announcing this is his last Test before retirement, removed Moeen Ali (22) and Ian Bell (nought) in quick succession to leave the tourists on 46-2 at stumps, needing a further 238 for victory. James Anderson (2-52) and Stuart Broad (3-44) again produced standout performances as Pakistan were bowled out for 355 in their second innings but the target might have been considerably less had England not spurned a number of opportunities.
