When The Unremarkably Average Life No Longer Suits You

Published by Huffington Post on Wed, 04 Nov 2015

One of the principal attributes of being unremarkably average is that you never have to worry about where you are going; because someone else has already made that decision for you. All you need to do is follow the herd. Its Time To Take A Trip But when you are striving to get from where you are to where you want to be, that journey is unlike any other. Its an expedition where your plans, safeguards, and policing are hollow because the road is less traveled and failure is constant. So while the expedition plays a significant role in your success your blueprint, the story you tell yourself, is what determines the quality of your life. The story is your internal conversation and for many of us that story is a single repetitive statementYou are not good enough. This internal conversation is further supported by self-sabotage, self-deception and self-corruption that further diminishes your belief in your potential to take action and get the results you desire. Not that long ago I got sick and tired of being at someone elses mercy, so I broke away from the herd. Yes, I was terrified to leave the perceived comfort of the unremarkably average life. But I siphoned strength from my internal conversation, that *I am good enough." Dont Fear Failure And while the fear of failure is always present I found that failure, in and of itself is not the enemy. Its a teacher and sometimes the muse. So dont fear to break away from the average life. Dont fear failing. Dont even fear your internal communication. Your obligation is to stay focused and maintain the vision you have for your future. It will not be an easy journey but when you do arrive at your final destination triumph. -- This feed and its contents are the property of The Huffington Post, and use is subject to our terms.
