Packing It In Basket

BASKETS are good for organising the home. They are most of the time inexpensive, beautiful and functional items. They come in a range of materials such as plastic and rattan.The beauty of baskets is that they can be used in every room in the home. Kitchen utensils, plants, washing, remote controls and toiletries and children's toys can be organised and stored in them.Baskets in the kitchen can display fruit and vegetables, store cutlery, bread, eggs, tea towels and a million and one other items. They can be painted to go with room scheme.Magazines can pose storage problem but flat baskets can contain then in a stylish way. But this has to be arranged in such a way that it is not taken to be waste paper basket.There are different types of baskets and how to use them to organise the home. Among these are:Wicker file baskets: They can be used to accommodate hanging file folders. Once clean, a wicker file basket is part of home dcor. Usually, the wicker file storage basket is made of rattan.In decorating with baskets, an arrangement of foliage and flowering plants in an array of different baskets interspersed with some coloured glass or pretty china can be a simple and inexpensive way to create a beautiful focal point in a conservatory or garden room.Utensil Baskets: These are used at picnics. They are baskets with dividers. A picnic basket might make provision for separating items such as the knives, forks and napkins. These can be made of rattan, willow or plastic. In the kitchen, use them to separate various items from straws to plastic forks and knives. This type can also be placed in the bathroom too for separating toiletries.Hanging baskets: These baskets can be filled with decorative flower arrangement and hung up in an open section of the home.Wicker hamper baskets: Rattan is common in hampers. These baskets are lightweight and durable. Children's play objects can be stored in them.Remember that what is considered the plainest basket can be painted or adorned and decorated in many ways.
