WWE Rumors: Buzz on Road to WWE Survivor Series 2015 for Week of Nov. 6

Published by Bleacher Report on Fri, 06 Nov 2015

As expected, given the developments with Seth Rollins' injury situation, most of the rumors featured this week concern the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and its now-former holder.Seth Rollins is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines following the injury he suffered in Dublin this week, which leaves WWE in a real predicament going forward. Here's a look at the rumors concerning the title itself and other areas of WWE as Survivor Series approaches.Something Big Happening in England'It was immediately feared that WWE would hold off until Survivor Series to crown a new champion, but according toWrestling Inc's Marc Middleton, things could move along a lot quicker than that.Middleton wrote that although the initial plan is to have a tournament at Survivor Series, plans change all the time, which is why this coming edition of Raw could provide us with a big insight into what's happening. That Raw takes place in England (unfortunate timing for U.S. fans), Rollins' injury could leave WWE's U.K. fanbase in line for a big angle this coming Monday. Will a new champion be crowned on the night' Probably not, if the original Survivor Series plans are to be believed. But it could see a big return, or a big name putting his hand up for a run with the title.WWE is no stranger to running big angles abroad, and this could be another one to add to the list.Rollins' WrestleMania PlansWith such an extensive injury and lengthy timetable for recover, Rollins' appearance at WrestleMania 32 immediately begins to look doubtful. And according to F4WOnline, (h/tWrestling Inc),his match with Triple H is now off the table. That confirms that the original plan was for Rollins to square off against the head of The Authority, but those plans are now being hastily rewritten. In fact, F4WOnline noted that most of the big main event plans will have to be scrapped, largely because Rollins featured heavily in them. This underlines the size of the blow Rollins' injury represents for WWE officials. Clearly, he's its top guy at the moment, and losing him for over half a year will pretty much prompt a rewrite of everything WWE had in mind during that period. The world title scene is going to look a lot different, and the landscape of the company has taken a huge hit. This rumor about so many plans' being rewritten confirmed it.WWE Putting In the Call for HelpAlso, WWE is, if the latest rumors are to be believed, frantically putting in calls to decide who the top guy in the company should be.With Rollins away, there's an opportunity at the top of the ladder for someone to step in and steer WWE on into 2016.But who will it be' Well,Wrestling Observer Radio (via WhatCulture.com) noted that WWE is in the process of contacting two of its most dependable guys. John Cena and Brock Lesnar were the names mentioned, with Dave Meltzer saying he's sure WWE is on the phone with them.As we know, Cena is away right now and isn't expected back until around December. Bringing him back early to throw him into the title picture is something that wouldn't sit well with many fans, especially given how he has unfinished business with Alberto Del Rio.Brock Lesnar could be a more appealing option, but WWE would have to seriously invest in Lesnar and make him full-time if he's going to carry the company.Whatever happens, and whoever gets the title, these will doubtless be a testing few months for the company.
