Texas jury finds man guilty of capital murder for killing four at SXSW

AUSTIN, Texas (Reuters) - A Texas jury found a 23-year-old man guilty of capital murder on Friday for killing four people when he plowed a car into a crowd of people at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin last year.Witnesses at the week-long trial said Rashad Owens, who faces a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole, struck nearly 30 people when he drove through the crowd at high speed in March 2104, traveling for several city blocks until crashing his vehicle.(Reporting by Jon Herskovitz; Editing by Sandra Maler)Join the conversation about this story
