Glo launches 3G Internet modems in Kaduna

GLOBACOM recently launched its prepaid 3G Plus internet modem in Kaduna, thus making it possible for millions of prepaid subscribers on the network in that city and environs to enjoy the benefits of high speed internet service. Globacoms Group Chief Operating Officer (GCOO), Mohamed Jameel, represented by the Glo Business Director, North Central, unveiled the modem and the Glo High Speed Internet packages at a media briefing held at Adriel Hotel, Kaduna. Jameel said the Internet package gives subscribers the freedom to use the service anytime, anyhow and anywhere. The Glo prepaid 3G Plus High Speed internet modem offers users faster connectivity and faster downloads at affordable rates. Our subscribers in Kaduna now have access to this fantastic service which is being enjoyed by our subscribers in several Nigerian cities including Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt , Benin , Zaria , Osogbo and Ibadan , the GCOO stated. He added that other advantages of the Glo 3G Plus modem include extensive coverage, instant activation, low tariff, subscription & re-subscription via recharge cards and flexible bundle offerings. The easy-to-use Glo 3G Plus modem costs N8,500the most competitive rate in the market. It is compatible with various operating systems and networks including Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Apple Mac (OS X 10.4 & 10.5), GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA and HSDPA, Jameel stated. Also speaking at the launch, Globacoms Head of Glo 3G Sales, Wunmi Jewesimi explained that each modem comes with a customized and easy to follow User Guide.  Once the High Speed Internet modem is plugged into a desktop or laptop a Glo GUI (Guided User Interface) appears on screen allowing the user to set preferences and begin browsing instantly.  This particular Glo 3G plus product has been designed specifically for ease of use and setup as opposed to many other modems in the market that do not take into perspective detailed Customer care, he said. Glo has three packages designed for the convenience of subscribers and these have proved to be of great value to students, academics, professionals, businessmen, middle-level managers, researchers and corporate organizations, Jewesimi noted. The highly flexible usage options offered by  Glo include the All Day Packs, Bundled Hour Packs and Flexi packs.
