ANOTHER occult practice that offends God is human sacrifice. This comes in various forms. Some kill their victims and remove vital organs for rituals. Others bury humans and animals alive. Others deploy spiritual means to achieve the same purposes. These include summoning the victim's spirit on a mirror, where he/she would be stabbed to death,or taking the victims name, picture or property to demonic shrines. When any of these is done, the victims die in their homes without anybody tracing the cause of their sudden demise. But God commands that we must not kill (commit murder). In Exodus 20:13, He said, 'Thou shall not kill' (King James Version). That is,do not murder another human being for whatever purpose. It violates God's commandment. Then God also warned Israel not to use their children (or any other person) for sacrifices: 'Do not give any of your children as a sacrifice to Molech, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the LORD.' (Leviticus 18:21)Molech (or Moloch) was a terrible idol through which they worshipped the sun. They burned their children in fire as sacrifice to this idol.It was not only Moloch. The children of Israel sacrificed their sons and daughters to Baal and other idols. This is also what the occult world does today. They offend God by sacrificing human beings to demons and Satan. It is detestable and an abomination to God.And God will not leave perpetrators unpunished. There was a well-reported case of human sacrifices in 1996 at Owerri, the capital of Imo State, Nigeria. One Innocent Ekeanyanwu beheaded a little boy, Master Ikechukwu Okonkwo. The lad was lured into a 'hotel' as he hawked groundnuts. Ekeanyanwu was arrested by the police in possession of the severed head and was promptly taken to the hotel (Otokoto Hotel), where the crime was committed. On searching the premises, the headless body of the little boy and many other human bodies were found. Some had been buried under flowerbeds.Only God can say how many innocent customers to the hotel had been killed and used for rituals. The incident sparked a violent riot in the city. Buildings and properties of the suspected cabal worth billions of naira were destroyed. I witnessed the riot. I saw some of the rioters carry dried human body, alleged to have been found in the refrigerator of one of the ritualists ' a wealthy businessman. Many wealthy businessmen and politicians were also fingered as members of the cabal. Mr. Ekeanyanwu later died in police custody in very questionable circumstance. People suspected he was killed in detention so that he would not continue to reveal some of the big names behind the demonic activities. It is no secret that so many political and business empires have been built by the spilling of innocent blood, demonic rituals and human sacrifices. Surely, persons involved in these have chosen to bow to Satan to acquire temporal worldly possessions, in exchange for their souls.Though we use events in Nigeria as case studies, these acts happen in every part of the world. Worshippers of Satan in the developed world do same. But I must admit that it is more frequent in third world countries because of the high level of poverty and spiritual darkness. If you are involved in these, repent immediately.Look at the Tanzania case where albinos have become endangered species, because of high demand for their use in ritual sacrifices. Their body parts are sold in 'markets' patronised even by security agents, who are supposed to check the menace. Terrible! But, it is also true that today some of the most powerful ministries and ministers of the gospel are currently coming of these dark areas. A lot still needs to be done to counter these activities in such places. And no other body will do that but the Church (believers). It is the responsibility of the Church. The bible says that Jesus (the Church) was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil. We have the tool to check this ' the gospel. We will continue next week.God bless.Rev.
