We're not burgled - Idanre LG boss

Authorities of Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State have debunked a report that the secretariat of the council in Owena was invaded by hoodlums.The Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the local government, Marcus Akinnayajo, said contrary to the report, no attack was carried out on the secretariat.A national daily (Not Nigerian Tribune) haD reported that some hoodlums invaded the council and damaged some properties in the process.But the council boss noted that the report was a calculated attempt to malign his personality and also dent the image of the local government.According to him, contrary to the alleged damages done to the premises and the vehicles parked within, such did not happen in the local government.The chairman, therefore, implored the people of the area to disregard the report and should not be discouraged from contributing to the development of the council.Apart from this, the Chief of Staff (COS) to the governor of the state, Dr. Kola Ademujimi also called for the understanding of the people of the council.He said the Labour Party (LP) remained the only party that could alleviate the sufferings of the people and make live worthy of living for them.Ademujimi noted that the relative peace being enjoyed since the administration came on board was because of the wealth of experience of the local government boss.
