FG still ready for dialogue with Boko Haram 'Sambo

Vice President, Arc Muhammad Namadi Sambo, has urged the members of the Jama'atu Ahli-sunna lidda'awati waljihad, better known as Boko Haram, to come forward for dialogue as the federal government is willing to sit with them. Sambo made this known on Saturday while interacting with journalists shortly after commissioning Almajirai bi-lingual (Model Boarding) primary school at Sabon Gari, Zaria.He observed that dialogue is the solution to the lingering crisis bedevilling the country and that is why the federal government is ready to dialogue with any group that has any grievance, including the Boko Haram.'I want to appeal to all Nigerians to embrace peace as it is the bedrock for societal growth and development. I want to use this opportunity to appeal to Nigerians, especially the members of the Boko Haram, to embrace peace. Let them (Boko Haram) come and sit down with the federal government so that peace would reign in Nigeria,' he said.
