Nigeria/Cameroun tie comes live on DSTV

Published by Guardian on Thu, 21 Apr 2011

NIGERIA and Cameroun go to battle today in the ongoing African Youth Championship in South Africa and the match to be broadcast live on SuperSport on DStv.The Flying Eagles will enter the battlefield without influential warrior, Ahmed Musa. Going into this important encounter, the team is wary of the fact that it lost the last two meetings with Cameroun in the youth championship by the same 0-2 score lines in 2007 and 2009.According to coach John Obuh, the Camerounians have a rich football tradition at this level on the continent that we respect, and we know how difficult it has been playing against them at any level in the past. But we are ready to do our best and get a result even without Ahmed Musa. We have a number of players that can replace him. So there shouldnt be too much to worry about.SuperSport will expose the next generation of stars from Nigeria and Cameroun, as they seek to claim early spots at the FIFA U-20 World Championship in Colombia later this year. Young sensations like Dami Paul, Mohammed Aliyu, Gbenga Arokoyo, Abduljeleel Ajagun, Stanley Okoro, Terna Suswan, Philemon Daniel and two-goal hero in the triumph over Ghana, Uche Nwafor, are all set for a stating berth.Later in the day, defending champion, Ghana, will file out against Gambia in a bid to claim its first win, and it will come live on SuperSport Nine from 1.55p.m local time.
