Foreign-based players get one week break

SUPER Eagles' coach, Stephen Keshi, has granted all the foreign-based players listed for the three World Cup and Africa Nations Cup qualifiers one week break before they could report to camp after the European season.Keshi, who is yet to make public the list of his invited players, said he decided to grant them the break because he was aware that they just finished from a hectic season in Europe, and needed to rest and see their families.The coach, however, advised the players to ensure that they did not exceed the one week period, insisting that all the invited foreign-based players must report to camp latest by May 27. He said: 'The truth is that some of these players had a very hectic season in Europe. The English, Spanish, Italian and French leagues were very stressful for the players.'So, for them to give me more than 100 per cent, I need to give them at least one week rest, even though they must keep in shape. They are professionals, I trust and believe in them. I want to say that every one of them I invited must report to camp latest by May 27.
