According to Adeigbe, 'it is a sad thing that my team did not qualify for the final stage of the competition, because they had proved themselves since the inception of the competition.'Though the two teams, Ansar Ud-Deen College and Anwar-Ul Islam College, have been displaying fantastic skills since the inception of the tournament, it is certain that the better team would always win.'To make the last four, Ansar Ud-Deen, led by Lawal Mubarak, was at its best, with high display of talents, accurate passes and entertaining moves. Adeigbe, however, envisaged that the next edition of the competition would be tough after participating in the maiden edition and knowing the teams that would be playing.'For Ansar Ud-Deen team, next year will be a better outing because you learn from your mistakes, and we have learnt from our mistakes now,' he said. 'We will definitely prepare big time for the coming year.'We will play many preliminaries to make sure that our boys attain the standard we want to, so for us, it's like going back to the drawing board to restrategise.'King's College, Anwar-Ul Islam clash in Heritage Cup finalBy Tony NwanneCampos Mini Stadium in Lagos Island will today comes alive when King's College, Igbosere, and Anwar-Ul Islam College, Agege, slugged it out in the final of the maiden GTBank Heritage Cup.In its usual style of play, King's College beat rival St. Gregory's College, Obalende 4-3 in penalties in the semi-finals.
