Cristiano Ronaldo Reveals Desire to Work with Carlo Ancelotti for a Second Time

Published by Bleacher Report on Sat, 12 Dec 2015

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted he misses former coach Carlo Ancelotti, describing the popular Italian as "like a big teddy bear."Marcaquoted the Portugal international expressing his disappointment about Ancelotti's sacking at the end of the last campaign:He's like a big teddy bear, he's really sensitive and is a great guy. He would speak with us every day, but not just with me, with all of the players. He had great fun with us. He's a great person and my only wish is that every player gets the chance to work with him because he's such a great guy and a fantastic coach.Ronaldo continued by stating he would like to work with Ancelotti again in the future but was careful to note he is happy with life under the new regime at Los Blancos, perMarca:"I miss him a lot. I want to work with him again, but I'm doing fine now too. I'm working with a new coach and I'm happy now too. But it's great to have these good memories of him."The forward has continually been linked with a move away from the Galacticos, as Manchester United wait in the wings to attract their former player back to England.James Ducker of theTimesreported United are "working onseparatedeals" to bring Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Neymar to the club, but their trump card could yet be Ancelotti. The Italian has spoken out about his desire to manage the Red Devils, as reported by theIndependent'sMark Ogden. Ancelotti is said to be "targeting"a return to the Premier League, and he would be prepared to take the helm at United in the summer:I will continue to wait.If I dont find a club with a good project, I can wait. What will I do' Watching games, fishing, all these things. But let us see next summer. I will not take a job in mid-season, but I would like to work again next summer.[...]Of course, for every manager, they would all think of managing Manchester United.ESPN FC's James Tyler acknowledged the La Liga-based trio as obvious targets for United. However, with Ancelotti at the helm, and Ronaldo's potential desire to rejoin him, a superstar transfer could be manufactured:Ronaldo has continued his scoring efforts for Madrid, and there seems no end to the amount of goals the 30-year-old can net.He has an extraordinary 21 goals and six assists in only 20 La Liga and Champions League appearances, according to WhoScored.com.Here is a video of the player's latest efforts in La Liga:In reality, Madrid will never be able to replace a talent like Ronaldo, and his scoring performance and consistency is only ever matched by Lionel Messi.United will be prepared to pay a king's random to re-sign their former winger, and if they hand the keys to Old Trafford to Ancelotti, the likelihood of an emotional reunion surely increases. The player has maintained his relationship with the Red Devils faithful, and they would welcome him and Ancelotti to the Theatre of Dreams with open arms. The club's fans are craving an exciting brand of football from their team, and Ronaldo would bring this in glorioustechnicolour. The player and manager won Real's 10thChampions League title, and they could replicate their success back in English football.
