Script writer and actress, Lilian Amah-Aluko is the Vice President, Association of Movie Producers (AMP). Aside from acting, Lilian is a published author, with Dreams of Yesterday and Echoes of the Heartbeat, launched recently. The movie producer spent her early childhood in Freetown, Sierra Leone, where her parents fled to during the Nigerian civil war. Thereafter, she came back home and attended the University of Lagos, where she read English. The former banker and member of Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) also holds a Masters degree in English from her alma mater. Lilian has featured in Nollywood films such as Out of Bounds, Hit and Run, Sweet Revenge, Untouchables, She Devil, Forefathers, Inheritance, Siberia Rough Edges and others. She also took part in the popular MNet series, Doctors Quarters. Her latest movie, Jungle Ride, was released into the market late last year. She tells DANIEL ANAZIA what fashion and style mean to her. Whats your take on fashion It changes per second; but that does not mean one should be a slave to it. Anyone that does that, will have hectic time keeping up with the latest trends. Style essence Simplicity and decency; I like to look good and simple. Favourite colour Black and red. They are strong colours that suit my personality. Signature perfume I have used and loved various perfumes. I dont have a signature scent, but presently, I use Angel and Christina Aguilera. They are strong and have sexy fragrances.Favourite piece of clothing Caftan, for its comfort. Favourite designers I really dont have any, but I admire the works of our local designers. Favourite food I dont have any. I eat anything; so far its well prepared. However, I have sweet tooth, and love cake and ice cream. Most expensive item I really cant remember and dont keep track of such. I assume its my car because I cant think of any other thing that cost as much. What would you not be caught wearing Any revealing cloth. How often do you update your wardrobe I do as often as possible, though; I still have items I got over five years ago. I pick up new things when I need them or occasionally when I see stuff I like.Likes I like friendly and straightforward people. Dislikes Dishonesty. Secret of your good skinI take daily bath; visit the hair salon twice a month for manicure and pedicure. Do facials monthly and body scrubs occasionally. What do you consider as fashion and style faux Undersized clothes that leave body parts spilling out in unsightly ways. What do you consider sexy in both men and women Clean white shirts/T-shirts on fit and nice smelling bodies. Choice travel/holiday destination My favourite vacation spot for now is Banjul, Gambia. They have lovely beaches and beautiful hotels. Other countries are Kenya and India. What is on shopping list for the month I did some shopping before Christmas; so, I dont really have plans to shop again this month.
