TomTom Renews Pact With NFF, Dangles $3,000 On MVP

TOMTOM has renewed its sponsorship deal with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as the official candy of the Nigeria's national football teams.In a statement by Bimbo Alabi, Senior Brand Manager, Medicated Candy, Cadbury Nigeria Plc, the renewal of the sponsorship deal was borne out of the desire to inspire the national teams to fly the country's flag high in all their matches and also enrich the game Nigerians passionately love.'Our partnership with the NFF is a significant way to inspire the country's national teams to perform well and reclaim the nation's glory as one of the football giants on the continent of Africa and ultimately a force to reckon with in the world of football. We look forward to working with NFF to improve the game through the range of initiatives that we have planned,' Alabi said.She charged the Super Eagles to go all out to beat Namibia in their World Cup qualifying match today, saying that outright victory would put smiles on the faces of millions of soccer-loving Nigerians, who had longed to see their darling team return to its winning ways.To kick-start the new regime of its sponsorship deal with NFF, TomTom has announced an incentive of $3,000 for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the team in today's game in Calabar.Alabi said, 'TomTom is giving an incentive that would promote competition among the players and eventually deliver result that would enhance our qualification for the World Cup.'She urged Nigerians to troop out en masse to the stadium to cheer the Super Eagles to victory.
