A Private Storm hits cinema

IT was a gathering of stars last Wednesday as Vivian Ejikes latest work, A Private Storm, hit Genesis Deluxe Cinema, Victoria Island, Lagos. The premiere, which commenced with a red carpet reception and cocktail attracted celebrities and showbiz personalities.Notable guests at the event include Ramsey Nouah, Omotola Jokade-Ekeinde, Rita Dominic, Kene Mkparu, Chidi Mokeme, Lonzo Nzekwe, Stephanie Okereke, Rukky Sander and others.Though, a movie premiere, guests besieged the event in different style and fashion.The screening, which lasted for about an hour, left no one in doubt of Ejikes creativity. Written by Ejike and directed by the duo of Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen and Ikechukwu Onyeka, the movie, exposes domestic abuse, violence and unspoken evil that ravages the society and the silent acceptance by victims.Some of the cast include Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Ramsey Nouah, John Dumelo, Ngozi Ezeonu, Ufuoma Ejenobor and others.Recalled that the movie premiered in Ghana, November, last year, also commenced showing at the Silverbird Cinemas, Accra, and same day amidst commendations from viewers.
