Echeno community appeal to Wada for social amenities

THE residents of Echeno community in Ibaji Local Government Area of Kogi State, have appealed to the state governor, Captain Idris Wada, to provide good road and electricity for them.Some of the residents who spoke with Community News, said they had been neglected by successive governments in the state, hence they were calling governor Wada to come to the aid.A resident of the area, Anajodo Sunday, said they didn't even know what was happening in the country due to lack of electricity and that the situation affected their children in terms of education.'You see, the long distance you ride through before getting to our village. We are always in darkness and people find it difficult to come to us because of high cost of transportation and bad condition of the road.'Another resident who only gave his name as John, said some government officials only visited the area during election period to canvass for votes, adding that after that they will be left to suffer.Others who also spoke to our reporter called on Governor Wada to come to their aid by providing social amenities for them.
