Igbo traders in Warri contribute to Okumagba's burial

Igbo traders in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, under the aegis of Ndigbo Traders Association, have presented two cows to Okere Urhobo people as part of their contribution to rites of passage of their traditional ruler, Benjamin Okumagba (JP) OON.Nze Francis Onuaha, who is the 'chairman of chairmen' of the association in the area, explained that the gesture was aimed at strengthening the cordial relationship between members of the group and the Okere Urhobo people'besides the fact that some of our members do business in Okere Urhobo, some of them also live there,' Nze Onuoha explained.Nze Onuoha, who disclosed that the group would pay homage to the Okere Urhobo, expressed gratitude to the patrons and members of the group for making the presentation possible.He urged them to make themselves available during the proposed homage visit to the Okere Urhobo people.Nze Onuoha disclosed that Prince Odjuvwu Okumagba, one of the children of the Okere Urhobo monarch, was a friend of the group.Meanwhile, as of the time going to press, preparation was in top gear towards the rites of passage of the Orosuen which commenced on Monday June 4th 2012.
