CFHI heads for final talk with NDDC over Youth Cup

COMMUNITY Family Helpers Initiative (CFHI) is heading for final arrangement with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for the hosting of the maiden edition of NDDC Project One Youth Cup expected to hold in Rivers State.CHFI National President, Festus Ogana, said the arrangement would be finalised after the elections, adding, however, that the competition would begin in June, while arrangement for the competition would take shape after the sponsorship deal has been sealed. Ogana called on all state commissioners for youths and sports and those of education in the Niger Delta region to get their male and female teams ready for the competition.He added: We also urge the state governments and all the companies, especially the oil companies in the region, to fully support the tournament, as it will go a long way in reducing, if not totally eradicating, acts of hooliganism in the region and this will be of advantage to governments and the region in general.He further revealed that his outfit has sealed an agreement with Ebrimandy Sports Concept for a successful organisation of the tourney. Explaining the aim of the competition, CFHI Secretary, Mary Ekandem, said the championship is designed to engage the Niger Delta youths in positive endeavours, adding that the programme would help to rehabilitate and discover lost talents in the region.
