Commercial sex worker docked for stabbing colleague

A 20-year-old commercial sex worker,Miracle Ogbo, was recently, docked at an Oshodi Senior Magistrates' Court, Lagos, for allegedly stabbing her colleague on the face with a broken bottle.Ogbo, who resides at 36, Oshodi Road, Oshodi, Lagos, pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge of assault.The prosecutor, Cpl. Kehinde Olatunde, told the court that Ogbo, on May 28 at her residence, unlawfully stabbed her colleague, Uduak Okon with a broken bottle.'During the day, both parties fought over the possession of a client but neighbours intervened and settled the matter.'Ogbo, however, waylaid the complainant by 1 a.m. and stabbed her with a broken bottle on the face which caused her grievous injury, 'Olatunde said.He said that the offence contravened Section 171 of the Criminal Code Laws of Lagos State.Magistrate M.R. Osho-Adebiyi granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000, with two sureties in like sum.He adjourned the case till June 11 for mention.
