British Council nominates Ogunnowo as School Sports Festival director

THE British Council has nominated a senior sports officer of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Sola Ogunnowo, to serve as festival director at its School Sports Festival coming up in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, this month.Ogunnowo will assist the British Council to facilitate the programme by working with school coaches and other sports co-ordinators to deliver a two-part event, including football matches between two schools each of the four selected schools (from June 12 to 15) and the Sports Festival at the National Stadium, Abuja, on June 25.In the letter addressed to the NFF General Secretary and signed by Sephora Imomoh, the Project Manager, British Council, acknowledgedthat Ogunnowo has been outstanding both in participation at the TOPS training held in Abuja last year and in performance post-training.'As you may be aware, the British Council trained Sola Ogunnowo in May 2011 as one of the lead trainers to deliver TOPS sports training to several groups of teachers and coaches in Abuja,' the letter stated. 'Sola's participation at the TOPS training held in Abuja and his performance post-training have been outstanding.
