Calls For Aviation Minister To Resign Unfair

Published by Guardian on Sat, 09 Jun 2012

THE National Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Southwest, Bishop Francis Wale Oke has advised the National Assembly and all those asking the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah to resign over Dana Aircrash to perish the thought, saying the call was unfair. In an interview with The Guardian in Lagos on Thursday during his monthly Advanced Ministers' Seminar, the Presiding Bishop of the Sword of the Spirit Ministries, applauded Oduah for her performance in the aviation industry. He argued that her effort had resulted in the renovation of Nigerian airports and the raising of standards. His words: 'That woman has done an incredible job. Abuja airport is being renovated, Lagos airport is being renovated, IIorin/Port Harcourt airports are being renovated, and she's all over the place doing her best. If they end up removing her, we may end up removing a performing person and getting a worse person. Let us not crucify her because of a situation over which she had no control. She didn't employ the pilot, she didn't buy the aircraft.'She ensured that regulations are put in place, it is not even her job; there is somebody on ground to enforce the regulations. That they probably did not observe the regulation or they are using an old airline or something that resulted in the air crash, does not amount to negligence on her part at all.
