RCCG LP35 plans more games

THE Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Lagos Province 35 (LP35) sports programme would be expanded to include other games like table tennis and athletics, among others, organisers of the LP35 football league have said.The LP35 is currently billed to hold a football league competition involving all the areas within the province, which will kick off at the weekend at the Campos Square Mini-stadium in Lagos.Speaking on the programme, which aims to discover fresh talents and win more souls for Christ, LP35 Sports Co-ordinator, Goke Korede, told journalists last weekend that arrangement has reached advanced stage to begin a tennis programme, which would see budding players of all ages come to learn and play the game under the tutelage of renowned coaches.We have contacted experts in table tennis to partner us as we move to grow the game within the province. In fact, national team star, Bose Kaffo, will be there during the kick-off the LP35 League to observe things and then look at ways of harnessing the numerous talent available in and outside the church as part of our outreach programme, Korede said.Kaffo will hold a clinic for the players as part of the programme.
