Onogie Igbueben youth soccer Youths tourney kicks off on Saturday

THE annual Onogie Igbueben Soccer championship, which attracts youths from across Edo State, will kick off this weekend, organisers of the event have revealed.The competition, organised by the National Association of Soccer Organisers (NASO), is designed for male and female footballers under age 18. Over 30 youth clubs drawn from the 18 local council areas of Edo State and outside, according to the NASO Secretary General, Steve Ilemuehemwen, have signified their intension of being part of the tourney, which is in its 10th year. The organisers say the tournament, supported by Edo FA, aims at positively engaging the youths with a positive and rewarding activity that would douse their restiveness. The competition will end on May 8 at the sports center of Igueben Local Council of Edo State.
