Jos Repertory Theatre presents Emeka Nwabuezes When The Arrow Rebounds

AFTER a command performance of the stage adaptation of Chinua Achebes Arrow of God will be held at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Abuja the public performances will open on Thursday, May 5 and run until Saturday, May 7 at the French Institute, Abuja.Ezeulu, the chief priest of Ulu, finds his authority is under threat. He has rivals in the tribe, in the white government and even in his own family. Surrounded by trouble, he adopts an increasingly cosmic view of events: surely in the battle of the deities, he is merely an arrow in the bow of his God Armed with such ideas, Ezeulu is prepared to lead his people on, if necessary to destruction and annihilation. The power of the people, however, reasserts itself.The stage adaptation of Arrow of God is being presented as part of the annual meeting of the International Road Safety Organization (IPR) being hosted by the Federal Road Safety Corps. The play will be directed by Patrick-Jude Oteh of the Jos Repertory Theatre.
