Ondo gov race: Ondo Central PDP endorses Bada 'As Ehinlanwo joins race in CPC

THE central working committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ondo Central senatorial district of Ondo State has endorsed Dr Oluwadare Bada as its candidate in the next gubernatorial election in the state.According to the communique issued at the end of the meeting of the committee held in Akure, the leaders and delegates from the six local government areas that constituted the district had agreed on Bada's candidacy.Members of the party in the local government areas, which include Akure South, Akure North, Idanre, Ifedore, Ondo East and Ondo West, concluded that the central senatorial district should produce the candidate of the party.The motion for the adoption of the candidature of Dr Dare Bada was moved by the former majority leader in the state House of Assembly, Kunle Agunbiade and seconded by Bisi Adebiyi, following which members of the committee unanimously endorsed the motion in a massive voice vote.In another development, the number of people jostling for the governorship seat of Ondo State has increased as a former chieftain of the Labour Party (LP) in Ondo State, Soji Ehinlanwo, joined the governorship race in the state.Ehinlanwo, who is contesting for the ticket of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), while stating the reason for joining the race, said he wanted to develop the state and move it from its present status.
