Our policy has bridged the gap in Ondo -Mimiko

THE Ondo State governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, has said his administration has, within the last three years, successfully bridged the gap between the less and the privileged class in the state, through its bottom-top policy.Governor Mimiko said this in Akure, on Tuesday, at the inauguration of Free Shuttle Bus scheme for schools in the state, in commemoration of the 19th anniversary of the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election.Speaking at the event, the governor said the policy was to develop leaders in the state, who could compete favourably with their counterparts anywhere across the globe.'This approach to governance led to the establishment of the scheme, Caring Heart Mega Schools, Mother and Child Hospitals, Neighbourhood Markets, Modern Motor Parks, among others, designed to integrate the people into improved living condition,' he said.Mimiko said the 20 buses inaugurated for the free shuttle programme would specifically be conveying school children free to and from their schools in Akure, as a pilot town for the scheme and would be replicated in other urban centres across the state.
