Tears, wailings as Adefemi goes home

It was tears, wailings and lamentations, as the remains of Super Eagles’ defender, Adefemi Olubayo, were committed to mother earth yesterday afternoon.The casket of the Beijing 2008 silver-medallist, draped with the national flag, was interred at the Ebony Millennium Cemetery a.ka. The Garden of Peace inside the Atan Cemetery, Yaba, Lagos.Olubayo’s final journey began with a lying-in-state ceremony held at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere.
