Fire razes O'jez Resturant

THE O'jez Restaurant situated around the mainbowl of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, was yesterday gutted by fire.The inferno according to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of O'jez, Mr Joseph Odobeatu, started about 8am when a thick smoke was noticed. "I thank God that no life was lost and the fire did not escalate to other offices here. In fact, that this thing happened in the morning made it easier for us to put out the fire. The prompt response of the fire fighters in the mainland also saved the situation, I thank them so much," said Odobeatu.He added that "all the items in the kitchen and other vital documents in the office have been destroyed but, the fact that this incident did not claim any life was a blessing itself".At the time of this report, debris of the destroyed items including furniture, were being removed by staff of the restaurant.
