Alba leftinjured on 70 minutes and was replaced by Marc Bartra.Alba the Latest Injury Blow for BarcaAs Barca's first-choice left-back, Alba is an important player at the Camp Nou, particularly due to the incredible pace and width he brings to the side that neatly mirrors the right flankfrom which Dani Alves and Lionel Messi typically operate. The 26-year-old also possesses excellent distribution, making him able to join in Barca's flowing team moves with ease.As Sport indicated, the injury has poor timing for the Blaugrana with concerns remaining over the fitness of Jeremy Mathieu and Adriano. That is particularly the case thanks to the Catalan giants' packed January schedule in which they still have four games remaining, including a potentially tricky trip to the defensively solid Malaga and a home match against title rivals Atletico Madrid.Bartra could continue to be deployed as a left-back to cover Alba, or equally the versatile Sergi Roberto could be temporarily moved there from midfield, though both represent a short-term fix.Read more World Football news on BleacherReport.com
