Simple, trendy' is Solidstar

Born November 8, 1988 and christened Joshua Iniyezo, the Aviara, Isoko-native, Delta State, is one of Nigeria's hip-hop, R&B, dancehall, Afro-pop singers. A songwriter, his rise in the industry has been very meteoric. Since his debut single, One In A Million, which featured 2face Idibia, he has proved that he is a force to reckon with.Solidstar, as he is popularly called, began honing his musical skill from the church, where, at eight years, he learnt how to sing and play the drums. With 2face Idibia as a mentor, and other artistes such as R-Kelly and Kelvin Little, having strong influence on his personality and music, Solidstar went professional in 2004.Signed onto a Lagos-based record label, Achievas Entertainment Co Nig. Ltd, he is the first debutant in West Africa to release an enhanced audio CD working with rappers Ill Bliss (aka Dat Ibo Boy), Cartier, W4, Buchwyla, Clever Jay, B Klin, Jakuzi, Ojay aka Ojo, and fellow label mate, Breeze. He tells DANIEL ANAZIA what fashion means to him.What's your definition of fashion'It's dressing in a way that suits and depicts your personality. It's being comfortable in your outfit aside from creating your own style (swag). It's, in fact, an individual thing.Style uniquenessSimple does it. I look at my mood and the event before picking out anything to wear.Favourite colour Red and black. They are vibrant colours and I look good in them.Favourite designer(s)Runs Couture Apparel. Favourite signature perfume Black Xs Cologne by Paco Rabanne, it has a unique scent.Body grooming and care I eat, sleep and exercise. I don't have any special cream 'I believe having it simple and natural. How often do you improve on your wardrobe' Very often! I try to buy a new clothe every week.What's on the shopping radar for the month'A designer sunglass, a pair of shoes, perfume, cream and general toiletries. Most expensive item ever bought It's a parcel of land in a choice place in Delta State. I'm a firm believer in real estate investment and God helping me, I want to have a house in all the states of the federation, including Abuja. What would you consider sexy in women'I love ladies with good body shapes. She must be elegant, self-confident and well-endowed. Favourite foodGive me Semovita and bitter leaf soup (Ofe Onugbu) and I will Skibo for you.Likes I play a lot, especially with children.
