DIARY Farm Senior Secondary School beat Anwar Ul-Islam College to the maiden Super Cup title, thus proving that its victory at the earlier Lagos GTB Principal's Cup was no fluke.Diary Farm, which won the Principal's Cup, tackled the winner of the Heritage Cup, Anwar Ul-Islam College, in the Super Cup and beat the later to the trophy. After a goalless draw at full time, the match had to be settled through penalties, in which Diary Farm won 3-1.In the losers' match between King's College and Sango Senior Secondary School, the Sango team came from behind to draw King's College. The duo of Isah Mohammed and Yusuf Solaja had given King's College a 2-0 lead in the first half with inspiration from Ugochu-kwu Okolie, who was a torn in the flesh for the Sango team.However, the tide changed in the second half when the die-hard Sango team leveled up with exciting goals from Haruna Abubakar and Akindele Saheed in the 59th and 78th minutes to push the match into penalty shootout. Unfortunately, the King's College boys could not convert some of their kicks and lost 2-4.The four schools got a GTBank present of a set of computers, while the Super Cup winner, Dairy Farm Senior Secondary School, got a golden shield and GTBank customized sets of boots.The Super Cup is meant to engender friendship among the participating schools. The Heritage schools are those that dominated the Principals' Cup for over three decades from its inception in 1954, and these are the schools that evoke fond memories of the Principals' Cup as the pre-eminent local tournament in the country.
