SupportAdefemis family -Siasia

Published by Tribune on Fri, 29 Apr 2011

SUPER Eagles Head Coach, Samson Siasia, has urged members of the football family including the senior national team players to give a lasting assistance to the members of the family of the late international defender, Olubayo Adefemi.Siasia believes that this is the only way the family of the late Xhanti Skoda star wouldnt feel the impact of the absence of their late son and bread winner.Although, the Eagles handler did not mention ways of assisting the family of the late defender, he promised to dialogue with Super Eagles players and officials. As a team we cannot force any of the players to do something special or promise anything on their behalf, but we can advise to that effect. What we will suggest and advise the players to do, is to support the family of the late player, Adefemi in a way that it would have a long, lasting and positive effect on Olubayos family. The only problem is that the various support wont go anywhere, I mean it may not even be enough for the family. The question now is how do we support the family for another couple of years, Siasia asked.Siasia will storm Lagos this morning early enough to attend the lying-in-state of the late Eagles right back which is slated for 12noon at the main bowl of the National Stadium, Lagos. Also former coaches of the late defender, Emmanuel Orkaa and Monday Odigie would also join Siasia and Eagles goalkeeper trainer Ike Shorunmu, to give the last respect for the fallen football star.
