Taye Taiwo agrees terms with AC Milan

SUPER Eagles defender, Taye Taiwo has made the decision to leave Marseille for Italian table-topper, AC Milan on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to LEquipe.The defender has an expiring contract at the Stade Velodrome and has been linked with several major European clubs in the past few months.Taiwo recently revealed that he had set his sights on a move to Serie A, and the left-back has now allegedly reached an agreement with the San Siro club on a three-year deal.Nevertheless, neither party has confirmed the agreement as of yet, as both AC Milan and Marseille are fighting for the title in their respective domestic leagues and no official transfers are expected to be announced until the season comes to an end.AC Milan is in the market for a new left-back because of the disappointing performances of Luca Antonini and Marek Jankulovski this term and the club is hopeful that Taiwo will be the answer to its defensive worries.Taiwo scored the decisive goal last Saturday when Marseille defeated Montpellier 1-0 to lift the French League Cup.
