Arabian Travel Market 2011: Nigeria prepares to meet the world

Definitely, Nigeria, in preparation for this years edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), is not only going to consolidate on the deals sealed on attracting tourists to explore the tourism potentials in the country at previous events, but also to update the world on other strengths of the tourism industry and possible ways of exchanging marketing ideas.Nigeria is now set to participate in this years edition of ATM, which opens in Dubai on May 2, 2011. The five-day event which draws participants in travel, tourism and hospitality business from more than 100 countries holds at the famous World Trade Centre in the city.The Nigerian contingent to the exhibition would be led by the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) under the leadership of Chief Olusegun Runsewe.Already, the corporation has been putting finishing touches to all exhibition items to be displayed at the fair.According to the Director-General of the corporation, Chief Runsewe, a new concept would be introduced into the design of the Nigerias stand this year with new products for the Arabia and Asian markets in focus.According to Runsewe, the stand is being redesigned to create the type of uniqueness with which Nigeria is known for at other tourism exhibitions recalling that last March, Nigeria was adjudged the best-designed pavilion at ITB Berlin, in Germany.We wont rest on our oars, as we will continue to excel,Runsewe said.He also added that Nigerias stand would be bigger than that of last year with additional space already acquired.
