Youth tourism: Apreel Event Manager plans for Childrens Day

In a bid to boost childrens involvement in practical tourism, Apreel Event Managers (AEM), is packaging a circus debut in Ibadan to celebrate this years edition of the Childrens Day.The fiesta which was initiated by the AEM is packaged in collaboration with the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Chapter and Yemi Sonde Entertainment to add value and sensation to the significance of the event.The new initiative was borne out of the desire to add pomp to the May 27, to celebrate childrens day in Nigeria and also to redefine the significance of Childrens Day with opportunity of celebrating childhood where they would be giving a treat of a life time to show how much they are loved and appreciated by their parents vis-a-vis their values in the society.The celebration, a total departure from the past, would be the first circus to be held in Ibadan where group of entertainers from different parts of Nigeria will converge to entertain children featuring celebrities from Nollywood, a magic show by a professional kiddies entertainer, puppet performer, fairy tales characters (Old MacDonald, Cinderella),  mascots, bouncing castle, clowns and a house of goodies where children would be served pastries, sweets, biscuit, chocolate and other finger licking chops .Also, there will be competitions, ranging from fashion parade, games, talent hunt, school presentations, live comedy musical band to add glamour to the fiesta.According to the Chief Executive Officer, Apreel 1 Event Managers, Seyifunmi Odunuga,we are working with a professional children party planner and entertainer, Franklen Latona, to give the boost for a fun-filled celebration for the children.The event which will attract children from over 50 schools from Ibadan will also be one of the biggest gatherings to encourage, promote and educate children on the importance of leisure tourism and the role of children in developing the industry.
