Recharge card sellers laments fake naira notes in Apapa

Sellers of recharge cards of all mobile networks in the Apapa Government Reservation Area (GRA) of Lagos State have called on the police authorities in the state to investigate the rampant usage of fake naira note in the locality.The recharge cards sellers, numbering ten, said the deliberate usage of the fake naira note by some dubious characters in the area, has deprived them of huge sums of money, even as they said that they have become easy prey due to road side manner of trading.Speaking with Community News, Mr Aniete Emmanuel, at point road junction said the fake naira note are usually used to buy large numbers of recharge cards from unsuspecting sellers at night.He said the fake naira note spenders have a common trait as they usually drive in posh cars.According to him, I became a victim of this wicked people recently. I was standing at the Point road junction when a black jeep was parked by my side and a man on the driver seat called me. He said he wanted to buy ten MTN card with N1.500, and after giving him the cards, he gave me some new naira notes and the driver drove off immediately.  I did not suspect anything until I went to look at the money under the florescent bulb at  bank close to where I do my business. I almost fainted when I discovered that the money where all fake.Emmanuel who said he was yet to come to terms on why he fell victim, said although he has been hearing of such ugly occurrence in the locality, he never for once thought that with the proximity of Point road to the police station and coupled with the policemen at the junction, fake note spenders would be bold enough to come to his trading point.
