3 players expelled as 3SC holds Sunshine Stars

TWO 3SC Players and a Sunshine Stars of Akure player were sent off as the two teams played a goalless draw in the Nigeria Premier League clash decided at the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu-Ode on Wednesday.The match began on a good note with both teams showcasing the best of football until the 43rd minute to the match when Ado Ali of Sunshine Stars and Gabriel Adikwu of 3SC were sent off by the centre referee for foul play.The game however turned sour on resumption of the second half as Philip Asuquo was given a red card after he was brought down by a Sunshine player and challenged the Centre Referee for not blowing the whistle to protect him.Speaking with Tribunesports shortly after the match, Chairman 3SC board, Toyin Akintunde said: "I'm very happy with the outcome of this game, despite the fact that two of our players were sent off we still managed to pick a draw. By the grace of God we are going to win all our remaining matches both home and away".
