ENGLISH Premier League side, Arsenal, and tour operator, DanJan Sports, have finalised plans to bring in a Vanguard's mobile operating theatre to Nigeria. The mobile theatre has left the United Kingdom and is expected to arrive in Nigeria by middle of July. The Arsenal first team squad is expected in Nigeria this summer for a pre-season match on Sunday, August 5.According to David Omigie of DanJan Sports, an agreement has been reached with Arsenal and Vanguard Healthcare, the world's largest fleet of mobile healthcare facilities. The theatre is required during Arsenal's closed season trip.'This mobile operating theatre is not only essential for the players but the fans as well. Considering the last incident with Fabrice Muamba, the lives of players, officials, fans and everyone involved is of great importance. Safety is paramount,' Omigie said.'In case of an emergency, it can easily accommodate more than 15 people, so we are happy to have finalised everything on time.'He revealed that SIFAX Shipping Company is the chosen importation agent for Danjan Sports on this tour. Omigie added that SIFAX was chosen for its expertise and professionalism of getting units like this cleared quickly by customs. He added: 'We are happy to announce that SIFAX has proved reliable and trusted.'DanjanSports also revealed the ticket details and selling arrangements for Arsenal's pre-season match in Nigeria, stating that tickets would go on sale across selected outlets from July 4, just as selling arrangements would be revealed tomorrow.Significantly, Arsenal's opposition would also be confirmed tomorrow, and is likely to be a leading African national team. According to Omigie, 'it was important to confirm Arsenal first-team squad's arrival date. We have worked out ticket details and finalised the opposition.'It will be the Gunners' first match on Nigerian soil. The visit to Nigeria will conclude an exciting pre-season tour schedule for Arsenal, which returns to both China and Malaysia in July, following the success of last term's Asia Tour. The club last visited Africa during a tour to South Africa in July 1993, and is returning as a result of the fantastic support that exists for the team, not only in Nigeria, but also across the entire continent.
