Osun traditional rulers celebrate with Elerin-Osun

Many traditional rulers from Osun State, recently, joined their brother, the Elerin of Erin-Osun, Oba Yusuf Omoloye Oyagbodun II, to celebrate 33 years on the throne.Those in attendance included the Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, the Olufon of Ifon Orolu Kingdom, Oba Abdulmaroof Adekunle Magbagbeola, Oloba of Oba-Oke, Oba Adam Iyiola Bamidele Yusuff-Bakare and Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun-Larooye II.The traditional rulers who rejoiced and congratulated the celebrant, said, 33 years of Oba Omoloye on the throne has brought unprecedented development to the ancient Erin-Osun community and Osun State as a whole.The traditional rulers further wished the Elerin more fruitful years on the throne and also called on all sons and daughters of the ancient Erin-Osun to continue to join hands with Oba Omoloye, in order to have a continuous development and peaceful atmosphere in the community.Speaking at the event, the Elerin of Erin-Osun, Oba Omoloye thanked God for sparing his life to witness the day, saying with Almighty Allah, he would continue to see more years to come while thanking the people of the town for joining hands with him in moving the community forward.Elerin, who used the medium to commend the state government for the formulation of a local government review committee headed by the former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon.Mojeed Alabi, enjoined the committee to consider Erin-Osun community by returning the old Ajoda Local Authority for them, saying the development would enhance more meaningful and rapid development and promote social and economic activities in the area.The Elerin further enjoined the people of the state to cooperate with the committee for them to have a positive goal in their reports to the government.Oba Omoloye, however, appreciated the people who witnessed the ceremony which included, the Commissioner for Local Government, Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr .Kolapo Alimi; Special Adviser to the governor on Local Government, Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs, Honourable Bisi Odewumi; Chief and Chief (Mrs) Tayo Shittu from Offa in Kwara State; Chief Benjamin Adeyemi, Alhaji and Alhaja Hassan Alao; Alhaji and Alhaja Ayo Adigun; and Alhaji Lateef Barrister.Others included, Mr Tope Adeyemi and Chief Moses Faniyi.
