PDP Chieftain, wife, son murdered in Plateau

Chairman of the People's Democratic Party in Sharubutu Ward of Bachit District of Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, John Baren, his wife and young son, were killed on Wednesday June 27th at Gwarim in Rim village by gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.The family was attacked and hacked to death with machetes on Wednesday afternoon as they were returning from the funeral of a relation in Riyom, Plateau state. The gunmen first shot at them, then dragged them into a nearby bush where they were murdered.The Barens weren't the only ones killed that day, the fulani herdsmen also attacked Gwarin village in Rim District of the council, killing quite a number of people.
