Milan bankson Taye Taiwo

AC Milan coach, Massimiliano Allegri has revealed that the club hierarchy has discussed the possible transfer of Nigeria international and Marseille left-back, Taye Taiwo and Roma defender, Philippe Mexes as the club looks to strengthen the backfour for next season.Allegridisclosed this during his scheduled pre-game press conference on Sunday ahead of clash at San Siro with Bologna.I have not heard a great deal about our plans in the transfer market next season and certainly not for the midfield, he told journalists.We have only discussed Mexes and Taiwo. The Nigerian is an interesting player and he could help us. There is nothing official at this stage but they would be important players for us.Taiwo, who is 26 and could still become Ligue 1 champion with Marseille this season, is also available on a free transfer. Mexes, 29, is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury but has already signalled his intention to leave Roma when his contract expires this summer.
