Jimoh Aliu wins Ibadan Golf Classic

A member of Micom and Country Golf club, Ada, Osun State, Jimoh Aliu has won the maiden edition of Ibadan Golf Classic competition held last Sunday at Ibadan Golf Club, Onireke reservation area, Ibadan.Aliu who plays three handicap won with 154 Gross ahead of Major General Samuel Adejumo who has 181 Gross and play 157 net.Aliu, a student of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree said he felt honoured for winning the maiden edition of the tournament describng it as one of his best moment."I feel great for the winning this competition because I didn't expect it at earlier but after my performance on Saturday, I've been having the feelings of winning the trophy and it came to pass."I started playing this game since 2005 as a caddy and today is one of my happiest moment on earth. "Though it's difficult to combine sports and schooling together, but God has been backing me up. I want to play this game as a professional and come what may, I will make this country proud," Aliu said.
