We wantmechanic workshop relocated - Idi-Ose residents

MEMBERS of theIdi-Ose community, on Oyo  road in Ibadan, Oyo State, have appealed to automobile technicians, vehicle sprayers and vulcanisers operating  within the  community to be conscious of their  environment by making sure that they maintain  cleaniness of the community.They alleged that the automobile technicians  through their activities were missing  the  community.According to them, they  block roads, thus making it difficult for  other road users to operate.A resident, Mr. Shitu Abayomi, told Community News  that the activities of trucks and trailers mechanics in the area was becoming disturbing as they often prevented free flow of vehicular movement in the community.Another resident of Idi-Ose, Mrs. Yetunde Ogundana, who sells soft drinks and snacks said many people had been complaining at  the manner at which the trailer automobile technicians often blocked the road with trucks and trailers that were brought for repairs, adding that their activities were  fast becoming unbearable for residents of  the community.Another resident, Alhaji Abass Oluwatoyin, said there was the need for quick relocation of the trailer mechanic workshop in the community in order to maintain cleaniness from the environment. Other residents of the area who spoke with Community News,  also shared the views of Alhaji Oluwatoyin. They said trailer welders operating in the community should also be taken to another site, just as they also complained of  lack of refuse dump site in the area. Garbages being generated from the trailer mechanic workshop in the community were being thrown on the road, thus constituting nuisance to the environment, stated a resident who gave his name as Tunde.
